In 1838, a circular track was built, which was the first version of the Historic Track in Goshen, now the oldest horse racing track in use in the United States. For one week each year, there are races at the track. Goshen is also the home of the Harness Racing Museum Hall of Fame. From 1930 to 1956, Goshen hosted harness racing’s main event, the “Hambletonian.”

FAQs
What happens if I’m in a car accident in Goshen and the other driver has no insurance?
This is unfortunately more common than you may think. In New York, you can often pursue compensation through your own insurance policy, especially if you have supplemental underinsured motorist (SUM) coverage. SUM coverage is one of the most valuable but underutilized protections available because it can step in when the other driver doesn’t have enough coverage to pay for your losses. Without it, your recovery may be limited to what the uninsured driver personally owns, which is rarely enough to cover serious injuries. At The Law Office of Mark A. Siesel, we carefully review insurance details to make sure no avenue for recovery is overlooked.
