Irvington, New York

The Village Of Irvington

Located in the southwestern section of Westchester County, the village with a population of 6600 is part of the Town of Greenburg.

In the mid nineteenth century the residents of what was called Dearman voted to change the name to Irvington in honor of famous American author Washington Irving a nearby neighbor. A statute of Rip Van Winkle still adorns Main Street.
